Vintage Russian Nesting Dolls - Set of 6

These intricately designed Russian nesting dolls are painted by hand with incredible attention to detail. As you nest each doll inside the other, the artwork lines up perfectly. The inscription on the base pays homage to its place of origin, Сергиев-Посад, which translates to "Sergiev Posad" in English.

These nesting dolls, also known as Matryoshka or Babushka dolls, hold a special significance in Russian culture, connecting the ancient Russian Empire to the Soviet Union and modern-day Russia.
